Whole-system duct and dryer vent check with before-and-after photos - you see exactly what came out of your vents
That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.
Why New York City Homeowners Choose Lennox Air Duct Cleaning
We provide independent Lennox air duct cleaning and repair service across New York City, from pre-war co-ops on the Upper East Side to newer luxury towers in Long Island City. Our techs are cross-trained on Lennox ductwork geometry and unit service access, but we work completely independently, never factory-authorized. That means we prioritize what the system actually needs without following a corporate script. If your Lennox Merit, Elite, or Dave Lennox Signature Collection system is blowing dust or fighting static pressure, call (806) 606-6902 and we’ll put a camera in the duct before we quote a dollar.
Why Trust CleanRun Air Duct Cleaning for Your Lennox Air Duct Cleaning?
Lennox systems are built well, but in New York City they operate under conditions the engineering team in Richardson, Texas never modeled. Humid summers amplified by the urban heat island effect, particulate load from subway brake dust and construction exhaust, and duct runs squeezed through pre-war ceiling cavities all take a toll. We’ve been documenting what’s actually inside Lennox ducts since 2013, and we’ve cleaned or repaired systems in over 52,000 homes, every one with a written price before work started and a photo record of the inside of every duct run when the crew left.
Our lead technician, Tomas Reyes, grew up in Woodside, Queens, a few blocks from the elevated 7 train, in a building old enough that the ductwork hadn’t been touched since the Carter administration. He completed his HVAC coursework at Queensborough Community College before spending years working residential and commercial duct systems across all five boroughs. So when we open a Lennox air handler in a Brooklyn brownstone or a Midtown high-rise, we’re not guessing at what the camera will show. We’ve seen that exact system before, usually in this exact neighborhood.
Haven Standard Clause 1 means exactly what it says: a written price before any panel comes off. Haven Standard Clause 3 means background-checked, uniformed technicians identified by name before arrival. And the 365-Day Done Right Promise means if the work isn’t right, we make it right, in writing, not subject to a manager’s mood. The photo tells you what’s in there. Everything else is just paperwork.
Common Lennox Air Duct Cleaning Problems We Fix in New York City

- Flex duct sagging or pinching on Dave Lennox Signature Collection installs. Signature Collection systems often run through pre-war ceiling cavities where space is tight and hanger spacing was undersized at installation. The flex duct sags between supports, creating a pinch point that kills airflow to the far rooms. When we camera the run, we see a cross-section that looks like a deflated balloon. Fix is replacement of the section with properly tensioned flex and correctly spaced hangers. The static pressure drop tells the whole story before and after.
- Dust accumulation at return drop connections on Merit Series air handlers. The Merit Series is Lennox’s value line, and we consistently find the same issue in New York City installs: the return drop connection at the air handler was never sealed properly, so the system pulls unfiltered air from the mechanical room or wall cavity. The plenum connection leaks, and the dust that should have gone through the filter instead loads the blower and coil. We remove the return drop, clean the interior, and mastic-seal the connection so the system actually filters what it breathes.
- Healthy Climate ERV and HRV cores clogged with construction dust. Lennox Healthy Climate ventilation systems are common in newer NYC luxury towers where sealed envelopes require mechanical ventilation. The problem: many installs never included the bypass damper that should have been open during construction, so drywall dust and spray foam particles loaded the ERV core. An ERV core that’s 60 percent blocked can’t recover heat or moisture effectively, and the indoor air quality suffers. We remove the core, clean or replace it depending on severity, and document it before and after.
- Sweating metal supply trunks on Elite Series systems in humid basements. New York City basements in older buildings stay damp all summer, and uninsulated metal supply trunks sweat. Over time, that moisture causes rust pinholes on Lennox Elite ductwork, which leak conditioned air into the basement and pull humid air back in. We find these pinholes by camera and by feeling along the trunk with a wet hand. Repair means cleaning the surface, sealing the pinholes with mastic and aluminum tape, and reinsulating the trunk.
- Zone damper failures on Dave Lennox Signature Collection systems with Harmony zoning. The Harmony III zoning system uses motorized dampers that can stick open or closed after years of dust accumulation in the duct work. The symptom is uneven temperatures: one floor of the townhouse is freezing, the other is sweating. We clean the damper blades and test actuation before recommending replacement, because sometimes a thorough cleaning plus a control board reset is all the system needed.
Before
AfterLennox Parts & Our Repair-vs-Replace Approach
We default to OEM Lennox filters, gaskets, and access panels when they’re reasonably available, because a factory-spec gasket on a Signature Collection air handler is made to fit that cabinet exactly. But we’re honest about the aftermarket. For flex duct, mastic, and insulation, we use quality aftermarket products that meet or exceed OEM spec, and we’ll tell you why: the performance is equivalent, the availability is immediate, and the price is honest. What we won’t do is sell you an OEM-branded part at a 300 percent markup when the aftermarket equivalent does the same job at the same quality.
The harder conversation is repair versus replace. When an older Lennox duct run is collapsing inside a finished wall, patching it buys time, not a fix. When a coil is severely impacted with dust and biological growth, cleaning it may restore enough airflow, but if the coil is already 15 years old and showing corrosion, we tell you. Replacement sometimes outlasts patch-up, and we’d rather give you a straight answer than chase a short-term fix. If you’ve got a written estimate from another company, bring it. Haven Standard Clause 5 is a free second opinion, in writing, with our number next to theirs.
Our Lennox Service Process - Step by Step

- 1
Written scope and camera inspection. We inspect the full duct system with a video camera, from the return drop through the plenum to each register. You see what we see before we quote a dollar. For Lennox systems, we pay special attention to the return drop connections on Merit Series air handlers and the flex runs on Signature Collection installs, since that’s where New York City installs consistently fail.
- 2
Diagnosis and written price. We put the scope in writing, with a line-item price for each component: duct cleaning, flex replacement, mastic sealing, coil cleaning if needed, ERV core work if applicable. That written price is firm for the job. No per-vent pricing games, no van-arrival upsell.
- 3
The work itself. We use negative-pressure extraction with Rotobrush and Nikro equipment, agitating the duct walls and pulling debris out under vacuum. For repairs, we replace flex sections, seal joints with mastic, and fabricate access panels where none exist. Before and after photos of every duct run go into the job record.
- 4
Test and verify. We measure static pressure before and after on every Lennox job where airflow is a concern. If static pressure doesn’t drop to a reasonable range, we keep looking until we find the restriction. Our Long Island City crew found a Dave Lennox Signature Collection return flex run collapsed behind a finished wall. We opened the chase, replaced the section with properly sized and tensioned flex, then sealed the new plenum connection with mastic. Static pressure dropped from 0.62 to 0.28 inches w.c., and the owner said the master bedroom finally stopped smelling like basement dust.
- 5
Documented record and warranty. Every job ends with a photo record of every duct run, the written scope, the final invoice, and the 365-Day Done Right Promise in writing. If it’s not done right, we make it right.
Lennox Products We Service & Install in New York City
We service and install across the full Lennox residential and light commercial product range in New York City: the Merit Series value line, the Elite Series mid-range, the Dave Lennox Signature Collection premium line, and Lennox Healthy Climate ventilation systems including ERVs and HRVs. We also work on Lennox zoning systems, including Harmony III dampers and controls. For Trane and Carrier systems, we work on them too, but Lennox is the brand we see most often in the post-war high-rises and newer luxury towers where forced-air ductwork actually exists in this city. We stock common Lennox filter sizes, gaskets, and access panels locally, so we’re not waiting on a distributor in Jersey when your air handler is down in July.
We Also Service These Brands

We’re multi-brand by design. While this page focuses on Lennox, our techs work on Trane and Carrier systems regularly, and we apply the same written-price, photo-record standard to every job regardless of brand. If you’ve got a Trane in the basement and a Lennox on the penthouse level, one call covers both.
FAQs - Lennox Air Duct Cleaning Service in New York City
In New York City, we recommend inspecting a Lennox Healthy Climate ERV or HRV system every 12 to 18 months, and cleaning the core and ductwork when inspection shows visible accumulation. The city’s particulate load, vehicle exhaust, construction dust, and humid summers, means ERV cores load faster here than in less dense markets. If you’re in a sealed high-rise near constant construction, you may need it more often. Call (806) 606-6902 and we’ll inspect before recommending any cleaning.
Yes, in most cases. We use a video camera inserted through the return drop or supply plenum openings to inspect the evaporator coil and blower wheel on Lennox Elite furnaces without dismantling the air handler. If the coil is heavily impacted or the blower needs removal, we’ll tell you in the written scope before any disassembly starts. The photo record shows you exactly what the camera found.
Almost always, it’s a return-side leak at the drop connection or plenum. The Merit Series air handler pulls air through gaps around the filter cabinet, especially if the original install used foam tape instead of mastic. So air bypasses the filter entirely and carries dust straight to the coil and blower. Our fix is to seal the return drop connection with mastic and verify the filter fits tightly in its slot. That stops the dust at the source rather than cleaning it out every month.
Yes, many commercial and larger residential Lennox installations from the 1990s and earlier used asbestos-containing duct wrap or insulation, especially in pre-1990 buildings. In New York City, any disturbance of asbestos-containing material triggers NYC DEP asbestos regulations, which can require abatement before cleaning or repair can proceed. If we suspect asbestos on a job, we stop and tell you, then bring in a certified asbestos inspector. We don’t touch it until it’s cleared. That’s a hard rule, not a preference.
Not with a shop vac. The supply side of a Signature Collection system with Harmony zoning has motorized dampers that must be held open or cleaned individually, and then tested for actuation. We clean the supply trunk with negative-pressure extraction while the dampers are locked open one zone at a time, then exercise each damper through full open and closed positions to verify function. The photo record shows each damper blade before and after. Skipping the damper testing leaves you with clean ducts and a zoning system that still doesn’t balance temperatures.
Lennox air duct cleaning in New York City typically runs $950 to $1,600 for a full system, depending on the number of zones, the linear feet of duct, and whether you have flex runs that need repair or replacement. A Healthy Climate ERV core cleaning adds $250 to $400. These are whole-system prices, written before work starts, never per-vent. If you’ve got a written quote from another company, bring it and we’ll put our number next to it. Call (806) 606-6902 for a written estimate.
