Franchise FAQ - CleanRun Air Duct Cleaning

Every visit starts with

Whole-system duct and dryer vent check with before-and-after photos - you see exactly what came out of your vents

Worth knowing

That "$99 whole-house special" is a bait ad - the real number appears once they are in your hallway, or the "clean" is a shop-vac at the register. We photograph the inside of your ducts before and after instead.

Franchise FAQ

We built CleanRun in 2013 around a simple idea: photograph the inside of every duct run before and after, put the price in writing before work starts, and let the evidence do the talking. Now we’re looking for operators who want to run their own business under that same standard.

Common Questions

Do I need experience in air duct cleaning or HVAC to become a CleanRun operator?

No prior industry experience is required. What you need is the ability to manage a crew, follow a documented process, and hold a standard. CleanRun provides the technical training, the equipment list, and the operational playbook. Many of our best operators come from management, sales, or other service industries and learn the trade through our training program. The H.A.V.E.N. Standard exists precisely so that a competent operator can deliver consistent results without spending a decade in the trade first.

What is the total investment range to open a CleanRun location?

The total initial investment varies based on your market, real estate costs, and equipment package, but prospective operators should plan for a mid-five-figure to low-six-figure commitment. That range covers the equipment roster (Rotobrush, Nikro, Abatement Technologies, and related professional-grade tools), the vehicle, initial inventory, training, and working capital for the first months. After you review our Franchise Disclosure Document, we’ll give you a written breakdown specific to your territory and situation. No one starts a CleanRun location without knowing exactly what the opening costs are, in writing, before they commit.

Is financing available for the franchise fee or startup costs?

CleanRun does not provide direct financing, but we can connect you with third-party lenders who have worked with franchise candidates before. Many operators use SBA-backed loans or equipment financing for the vehicle and tools. We’ll walk through what’s realistic for your financial picture during the discovery process. What we won’t do is pressure you into a number that doesn’t work.

What territory or exclusivity do I receive as a CleanRun operator?

Each operator receives a defined protected territory based on population density and projected service demand. The exact boundaries are negotiated and written into your franchise agreement before you sign anything. That territory is yours to work, and the marketing we support is directed to homeowners inside it. We’d rather have one operator serving a territory well than two operators splitting it.

How long is the training program?

Plan on a training period of roughly four to six weeks, split between classroom-style instruction and field work on live jobs. You’ll learn the duct cleaning process, dryer vent work, basic repair and sealing, the photo documentation system, and how to price a job honestly under Haven Standard Clause 1. The training doesn’t end when you open: ongoing operational support continues through the life of the agreement.

What are the ongoing fees and royalties?

Like most franchise systems, CleanRun collects a royalty based on gross revenue and a modest contribution toward system-wide marketing and technology. The specific percentages and any required minimums are disclosed in the Franchise Disclosure Document, which you’ll receive early in the process. We’re direct about the numbers because the whole brand is built on written pricing with no surprises. That standard applies to our relationship with operators, not just to the customer’s invoice.

How long does it take to open a CleanRun location from signing to first job?

Most operators are running their first jobs within three to six months of signing the franchise agreement. That timeline includes training, equipment acquisition, vehicle setup, licensing and insurance in your name, and a soft launch period. Some markets move faster; some need more time for permitting and local compliance. We’ll give you a realistic schedule based on your specific state and municipality, and we’ll stick to it.

What support does CleanRun provide after I open?

You get the operational system, the documentation technology, the training, and ongoing coaching. We provide the equipment standards, the photo documentation protocol, and the H.A.V.E.N. Standard that defines the customer experience. What we don’t do is run your business for you. You hire and manage your crew, answer your phones, and stand behind your work locally. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is your promise to your customers, backed by a system designed to make it deliverable.

Who is the ideal CleanRun operator?

Someone who reads the three-star reviews before the five-star ones. Someone who understands that a customer who has been burned by a $79 coupon duct cleaning is not impressed by marketing language, only by evidence. The ideal operator is disciplined, comfortable with process, and not looking for a get-rich-quick shortcut. If you believe that photographing every duct run before and after is worth the extra twelve minutes per job because it’s the only way to prove the work, you’ll fit here.

What is the next step if I’m interested?

Call the franchise sales line at (806) 606-6902 and ask for the initial discovery packet. We’ll ask a few questions about your background, your market, and your timeline, then send you the Franchise Disclosure Document if it looks like a fit. There’s no commitment required to start the conversation, and by the end of the first call you’ll know whether this is worth pursuing further.
